A massive explosion occurred last week at a hazardous material storage facility in Tianjin, China, killing 114 people, injuring over 700 others and 70 more are reportedly still missing. The explosion and subsequent contamination caused by the release of toxic chemicals also caused a massive fish die-off. Thousands More Fish Die in Ventura Harbor

4/18/11, ABC News:  Thousands more dead fish have washed up in Ventura Harbor.  This is the second large fish die off Southern California this year.  This time, thousands of dead fish are floating in Ventura Harbor, according to Pat Hummer, Senior Patrol Officer at the harbor.  The majority of them are sardines and anchovies, but perch were also spotted.
